How the Virtual Experience Works
- Expert Guidance: The class kicks off with a comprehensive demonstration by me, Robert Kline. I’ll guide you through the basics of wheel throwing, sharing tips and techniques I’ve honed over my years of experience.
- Your Time to Explore: After the demo, the wheel is yours! You’ll have ample time to experiment, play with the clay, and discover the magic of shaping pottery. Don’t worry; I’m just a click away if you need any guidance or encouragement along the way.
- Create Keepsakes: At the end of the session, you can choose one or two of your creations to be fired and glazed. Consider it a tangible reminder of your pottery adventure.
From Wheel to Finished Piece: We Take Care of It All
Once you’ve selected your favorite pieces, I’ll take over the finishing process. This includes:
- Trimming: Refining the shape of your piece and removing any excess clay.
- Bisque Firing: The first firing that hardens the clay.
- Glazing: Applying a layer of beautiful, vibrant glaze to your piece.
- Glaze Firing: The final firing that melts the glaze and creates a smooth, glossy finish.
Your personalized pottery will be ready for pickup in about four weeks, or we can ship it directly to your doorstep.
