  • Rose Geranium Oil (Pelargonium capitatum x radens variety is best): Ticks absolutely despise the smell of rose geranium, making it a must-have in any tick-repelling formula.
  • Cedarwood Oil: Another scent ticks loathe is cedarwood, a favorite for its warm, woody aroma. I even use cedarwood oil in my yard spray to help keep the tick population down!

Target: Mosquitoes, Flies, and More!

  • Lavender Oil: This versatile oil not only repels mosquitos, moths, fleas, and biting flies but also offers a calming scent.
  • Citronella Oil: A classic bug repellent, citronella is known for its effectiveness against mosquitos, biting flies, no-see-ums, and gnats.
  • Thyme Oil: Thyme packs a punch against mosquitos and blends beautifully with the other oils.
  • Eucalyptus Oil: This oil is a powerhouse, repelling a wide range of biting and stinging insects.

  1. Combine all essential oils and apple cider vinegar (or witch hazel) in the glass spray bottle.
  2. Fill the bottle to the top with distilled or filtered water.
