Step 1: Plan Your Masterpiece
Before you make the first cut, take some time to plan your bedside table design. Sketch out a few ideas, considering the dimensions of your space and the functionality you desire. Measure the exact length needed for your shelves, making sure they fit snugly between the legs. Once cut, drill three pocket holes under both ends of each shelf piece, making sure to drill on the underside. Then, lay your assembled nightstand on its back and position the shelves, securing them in place with pocket hole screws.
Step 7: Sanding Away the Rough Edges
To achieve those smooth, refined edges, give all exposed corners and edges a light sanding with medium-grit sandpaper, followed by a final pass with high-grit sandpaper. This will prevent any accidental splinters and give your bedside tables a polished look.
